Welcoming Jake Woodruff to ABH Board

Jake Woodruff, PharmD, DPLA
ABH Board Member

We are thrilled to welcome Jake Woodruff, PharmD, DPLA to the Advocates for Better Health Board of Directors.

Jake is a clinical pharmacist with Allina Health at Abbott Northwestern Hospital whose work and volunteer experiences have fostered a deep commitment to improving access to care for underserved communities. Since 2020, he has been actively involved with student-run free clinics, where he has worked alongside patients experiencing barriers ranging from medication and food costs to housing instability and access to needed healthcare.

Jake’s commitment to this work has extended well beyond Minnesota. He previously served as National President of the Society of Student-Run Free Clinics, helping support student-run clinics across the country and internationally and assisting with the development of new clinic sites. He now serves on the organization’s Board of Directors, with a particular focus on supporting the strategic development of new clinics. Closer to home, Jake continues to volunteer with the Phillips Neighborhood Clinic as a pharmacy preceptor and Lead Quality Improvement Preceptor.

These experiences have shaped Jake’s understanding of health equity as meeting people where they are and ensuring everyone has access to the resources, information, and support they need to make decisions about their health. He is particularly passionate about listening to community needs and translating those needs into meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery.

Jake brings to the ABH Board a valuable clinical pharmacy perspective, extensive leadership experience, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care and community engagement. We are excited to welcome his collaborative approach and passion for improving access to care as we continue working toward healthier, more equitable communities.
