ABH Board Applications Open for 2026

Help Us Build a Better Future for All Minnesotans
Advocates for Better Health (ABH), formerly the Twin Cities Medical Society, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing public health and equity across Minnesota.

Founded in 2010, ABH emerged from a bold vision articulated by our inaugural president, Dr. Ed Ehlinger: to create a new kind of medical society—one that bridges the medical profession and public health, and that supports systems-level change beyond clinic walls. Since 2023, ABH has been intentionally building a new Board of Directors composed of healthcare professionals, public health leaders, and community members committed to equity, collaboration, and sustainable impact.

Serving on the ABH Board offers a meaningful opportunity to channel your passion for the public good—while honoring personal well-being and shared leadership.

Consider Applying to Serve on the ABH Board
The ABH Board of Directors is made up of elected volunteers who provide governance, leadership, and strategic direction for the organization. Board members help steward ABH’s mission and vision, support organizational vitality and growth, represent ABH in public spaces, and carry the legal and fiduciary responsibility that ensures the organization’s long-term health.

We are seeking energetic, thoughtful, and strategically minded leaders who want to contribute their experience and perspective to a collaborative, values-driven board. Applications will be accepted through February 20, 2026.
