ABH was proud to join Do Good Roseville’s annual Juneteenth celebration for the fourth year in a row! This vibrant community event offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with residents, celebrate Black freedom and resilience, and share valuable public health resources.
At our table, attendees tested their knowledge with commercial tobacco trivia and engaged in thoughtful conversations about how to access support to quit commercial tobacco. These exchanges are a powerful reminder that public health begins with listening, learning, and working in partnership with community.
This year, we were especially excited to collaborate with the Minnesota Department of Health’s Oral Health Program. Their team shared critical information about how commercial tobacco and nicotine impact oral health—highlighting often-overlooked connections between tobacco use and dental health, especially in communities historically targeted by the tobacco industry.
We offer a heartfelt thank you to ABH Board Member and Do Good Roseville Planning Committee member Dr. Etienne Djevi, as well as our dedicated staff, board members, and volunteers who helped make this event a success. We are deeply grateful for your time, energy, and commitment to community-centered health advocacy.
We look forward to continuing this important tradition and strengthening relationships in Roseville and beyond. Happy Juneteenth!
