Introducing the ABH Tobacco Cessation Panel
We’re proud to announce the launch of the Tobacco Cessation Panel—a new partnership between ABH and the Minnesota Department of Health’s Commercial Tobacco Prevention Team.
This panel brings together four medical and dental providers who work closely with patients impacted by the commercial tobacco industry. Each panelist brings valuable real-world experience and a deep understanding of how tobacco use affects health—and how programs like QuitPartner can make a difference. QuitPartner is Minnesota’s free resource for quitting commercial tobacco, offering coaching, quit medications, and support tailored to each person’s needs.
This new panel builds on more than a decade of ABH’s work alongside medical and dental providers across Minnesota. That long-standing collaboration has helped us foster strong, trusted relationships within the healthcare community—relationships that made it possible to bring together this exceptional group of experts. Their dedication to patient care and tobacco cessation makes them powerful advocates for public health and trusted voices for the QuitPartner program.
As trusted experts in patient care, these providers will be available to respond to media requests and help answer common questions about QuitPartner. Their voices will help raise awareness of this important free resource and the many ways it supports Minnesotans who are ready to quit tobacco.
The panel is already off to a strong start. In honor of World No Tobacco Day, Dr. Margaret Nolan published an op-ed in the Duluth News Tribune highlighting the importance of supporting people through their quit journey and pointing readers to QuitPartner as a free, trusted, and effective tool.
We’re deeply grateful to each panelist for lending their time and expertise to this effort, and to MDH for their continued partnership. In a time when public health collaboration matters more than ever, we’re honored to help elevate the stories, strategies, and science behind tobacco cessation.
