Reflections on Goff Public’s Communications Cohort

Over the past six months, I had the opportunity to participate in Goff Public’s pro bono communications cohort for Minnesota nonprofits. The experience offered practical tools, new connections, and thoughtful insight into how nonprofits can communicate more strategically.

The Goff team shared their expertise with generosity and clarity, helping us strengthen everything from messaging to media relations. Their guidance was approachable, applicable, and clearly grounded in years of experience.I also appreciated the chance to learn alongside other cohort participants—hearing about their work and challenges made the sessions even more meaningful. And throughout it all, Goff created a welcoming, well-organized space that encouraged open conversation and real learning.

Thanks to the Goff staff and fellow participants for making this a valuable and enjoyable experience. I’m leaving with new ideas, fresh perspective, and a deeper understanding of how to elevate communications in service of mission-driven work.
